About Me

I grew up in Decatur, IL and attended college at Maryville University in west county St. Louis. After graduation in 2008, I moved to Southeast Missouri where I lived and worked until July 2014.

God gave me a passion and love for children as well as a passion for science (anatomy, physics, and kinesiology). Those passions combined led me to occupational therapy. I worked as a pediatric occupational therapist for 6 years at an outpatient facility. A job I could not have loved more. After visiting Haiti in May 2013 and February 2014, God placed a beautiful burden on my heart that I could no longer ignore. In August 2014, I moved to Haiti for ~5 months to work at a rehabilitation clinic in Croix-des Bouquets. As the end of my commitment approached, Jesus called me to continue to work in Haiti. I returned to Haiti in January 2015 to join the team at Respire Haiti. I soon realized my initial 5 month journey in Haiti was just a precursor to what God had in store. His plans were way bigger than mine and far greater than I could have ever envisioned. He led me to starting a therapy program that has grown into a fully functioning clinic servicing children and adults. Read through the blog posts to learn more about what God has done and continues to do through one therapy clinic :)
